Feeling good about yourself and what you are up to is a much underrated concept.

It’s easy to dismiss something as nebulous as “feeling good”.

I mean you have things to do right? The dog needs to go to the vet, the kids have soccer, your husband just left on a fishing trip without fixing that plumbing leak and you just looked in the mirror and it’s definitely one of those “bad hair” days……………..


Feel good!? If you had the time and luxury to feel anything it would more likely be anger and frustration.

Okay just stop!……………..You see, that’s just the point. It’s the anger and frustration that is keeping you from being happily and seemingly effortlessly productive and stress free.

It’s not the circumstances.

You are not your circumstances. You’ll figure out a way to get the kids to soccer, the plumbing leak will get fixed one way or another. And by the way, your hair isn’t as bad as you think it is…………

You have choices in the matter, whether you think you do or not……….

The first thing to do is realize that you can chose to feel good and lead a happy, productive, low stress existence regardless of your circumstances.

So many of us allow the details of our daily lives to spool us up into stress, rage and frustration. It doesn’t have to be that way.

One really good way to allow the stress and anger trigger points to just flow around us instead of launching us into the anger spiral is to take a few minutes several times a day and reflect on the things that we are grateful for.

The feeling of gratitude helps to settle the other emotions and allows you to relax a little…….Take five minutes three or four times a day and Just let it all go………allow the feeling of gratitude to seep into the deepest part of your being.

After a brief gratitude reset, concentrate on projecting love and gratitude out into the world and towards those people you come into contact with.

It’s subtle at first, but if you pay attention you’ll notice the people you come into contact with will soon begin to change. You’ll get more smiles, they’ll be more polite, they’ll start letting you go ahead them in line……

Things will start to just sort of fall into place.
Don’t believe me? I dare you to try it………

Suddenly, some afternoon a few days into this experiment you’ll probably have a flash of realization…..

You feel good

It sort of snuck up on you but you actually feel good and much of the tress you’d been feeling has melted away.

All the circumstances are still there, but you’re better able to cope and solving the little problems just seems easier…….
Listen….just give it a shot……What have you got to lose except a little anger and frustration.
