To live younger and slow or even reverse the aging process, one of the first things we need to do is develop a youthful mind.
There are many aspects to a youthful mind. Flexibility, curiosity and creativity are some of the main things we must focus on.

The goal is to develop a way of thinking young. Concentrating on dynamic, vibrant thoughts and living with a constant curiosity.
Be as curious as a child, let yourself marvel at the wonder of the natural world, be curious about your loved ones, coworkers and friend’s lives and what they want and need.

Let go. Find a way to release the negative thoughts and images that crowd your mind. Let go of the frustrations, aggravations and grudges that tend to tangle your emotions and create stress and worry.

Let your creativity blossom. Learn to allow yourself to create things out of nothing. Take a pottery class, write a story. Develop your imagination and then begin taking action on your imaginings.

There are many ways of developing the traits listed above, but the one underlying trait you need before you begin is that of intention.
Intention is what brings it all into the physical world. It’s the first step on the pathway to manifesting your dreams and desires and in this case feeling acting, looking and living younger.

Intention is what leads to action. Action creates reality.

Intention is the act of focusing your mind on the process of doing whatever it is you are doing at that moment.
You must be careful not to focus your intention solely on the outcome. If all you are focusing on is the final destination you will lose your way and never arrive there.

If you can focus on the process, enjoy it, revel in it, become a master at it. Be completely in the moment and truly just be with the process. Then you will arrive at the outcome almost effortlessly.

With attention on process, success is guaranteed.

With attention on outcome, stress, worry and aggravation is guaranteed.

If you can detach from any particular outcome and just be in the moment it will allow your mind and body to slow down and thus slow the aging process and allow you to think and act younger and more vibrantly.

At seventy, Bessie set an intention to become a world famous photographer. Although many thought she was too old, she didn’t. She entered a photo contest where she won the first prize of $10,000. Her prize-winning photo toured around the world with a Kodak exhibit. With the right intention we’re never too old to make a dream come true.

However please don’t confuse intention with dreams and wishes. Dreams and wishes have their place and we should all have them but they are simply a part of the incubator of our reality.

To manifest a dream or a wish into the real world you must learn to form focused and intention filled thoughts and then take action on those thoughts while concentrating on the process, being in the moment and not focusing on the ultimate outcome.

Bessie’s focus was on the joy and blissfulness of being a great photographer. Her intent was to take great pictures. She was not focusing on winning $10,000 or having her photo go on tour with Kodak. In the end, she became very successful as a photographer.

If longevity is your goal. To look, feel and act well younger than your chronological age would suggest then one of the first things to do is develop intention and focus that intention on the appropriate processes.

Focus on being flexible and letting go, focus on being creative and develop an insatiable curiosity about the world and everything in it. A youthful mind is an active mind. One that is constantly learning and creating.

Above all remember to have fun, associate with people you like and trust and try and make a difference in the world.
In youthfulness and vibrancy.
